UK university and Courses:

Applicants who registered for duplicate courses at the same universities cannot be considered for a scholarship. Applicants must select three different courses if the want to choose the same university. 

 

I strongly advice that whatever the case, ensure you chose 3 similar courses from 3 different universities. Why do I say so? Selecting related courses shows you have a clear focus and will reduce the task of having to proffer divergent arguments justifying each course. 

 

In order to be eligible, the courses you choose must be 

1. full-time
   
2. start in the autumn term 
   
3. taught master’s course; not research-focused. 
   
4. Not Distance learning 
   
5. Not Less than nine months in duration
   

 

Essays word count: 

 

As we all know, there is a specific number of words when writing the four essays of Chevening scholarship. To be eligible for this exceptional opportunity, you have to meet the minimum word count required. In Chevening essays, the minimum word count is 100 and the maximum is 500 words. I highly advice you to write between 430 and 490 words. Plagiarism:

When filling out the online application system, applicants are advised to:

2) Work in a full-sized window because it will make the application form easier to read. 

3) Avoiding clicking the browser’s ‘back’ and ‘forward’ buttons because it will take you out of the system and you will lose all unsaved work.

4) Remember your email and password to make logging back to your application easier. 

5) Enter information accurately, especially your contact details. 

6) Consider preparing your answers offline, especially your essays, and then paste them into the online form as the system may take some time to complete. 

7) Please pay attention to the word count in every question of your application and adhere them to the required number. 

8) Save as you go as there is no automatic save function on the system and each session will close after 60 minutes.

9) You do not have to complete the form in one session but remember to save whenever you want to leave the website. 

10) Do not plagiarize anything at all. 

11) Applications must be submitted in English. Any application not submitted in English is ineligible.

12) Check the size and format of the files you have to upload to the system and ensure they meet the requirement. The online system only accepts PING/ JPG/PDF documents of no larger than 5MB. Moreover, the length of file name should not exceed 50 characters.

13) Review your application before you submit it. When you are satisfied with your application, click the ‘Submit’ button.

14) Remember, you are allowed to only submit one application.
